Timika- The Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Task Force succeeded in arresting a member of the Puncak area Armed Criminal Group (KKB), Lupa Waker alias Lupa Walo, in Tembagapura District, Mimika Regency, Central Papua on Sunday, (19/5/2024), at 14.30 WIT.
Head of Cartenz-2024 Peace operations, Police Commissioner. Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., when asked for information, said that Lupa Waker alias Lupa Walo, is an active KKB member in the Puncak Region and the person concerned is included in the Wanted List (DPO) No. DPO: 2/II/Res 1.13/2024 Criminal Investigation, related to the case of burning the camp and heavy equipment belonging to PT. Excelled in Mundidok, Puncak Regency in February 2021.
“Yes, that’s right, we from the Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force this afternoon at around 14.30 WIT managed to arrest a KKB in the name of Lupa Walker around Tembagapura,” explained Faizal
Meanwhile, Head of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Public Relations Task Force, AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno in his statement explained that active KKB member Lupa Waker alias Lupa Walo was arrested by the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops task force, in Tembagapura District, Mimika Regency, Central Papua Province.
“Active KKB member Lupa Waker alias Lupa Walo was arrested based on reports from the public regarding his whereabouts so our members immediately moved quickly to make the arrest.” said the Head of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Public Relations Task Force, AKBP. Dr. Bayu Suseno.

PT Unggul Camp Burning, Mundidok, Puncak Regency, Puncak Police has published 4 People Wanted Lists (DPO) for KKB members in the Puncak area.
The evidence confiscated during the arrest was:
- One bayonet blade
- One wallet
- One noken
- One fisted noken
- One Puncak district KTP in the name of Les Mosip
- Rp. 113,000
- One unit of HP Itel A70
- One unit of Nokia 105 cellphone without SIM card
- and several other pieces of evidence
AKBP. Dr. Bayu Suseno added that currently KKB member Lupa Waker alias Lupa Walo is at the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Task Force Command Post in Timika for further examination.
“Yes, we have taken the suspect to the ODC Command Post in Timika. Our next plan is that we will chase and arrest the other 3 DPOs who were involved in burning down the PT Unggul camp in 2021,” concluded Bayu.
