OKSIBIL, STAR MOUNTAINS REGENCY, PAPUA HIGHLANDS \u2013 For residents of Arinkop Village, Kalomdol District, Star Mountains Regency, the installation of lighting in the village has provided a direct and practical benefit. On Friday (October 2, 2026), joint personnel from the Police Task Force of the Peace Cartenz Operation, the RI-PNG Border Security Task Force Yonif 734\/SNS, the Kopasgat Task Force, and Oksibil Police came not only to conduct patrols, but also to help provide lighting and interact with the local community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The joint personnel helped assemble and install solar-powered lights in the Arinkop Village area. The lighting is expected to support residents’ activities after dark while providing a practical benefit to the village environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For the residents, the activity was a form of attention that could be felt directly. The presence of the personnel also provided an opportunity for residents to interact, talk, and share information about their daily conditions and needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Local community leader Tedy Kakyamabin expressed his appreciation for the attention shown by the joint personnel who came and interacted directly with the people of Arinkop Village.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to providing lighting, the personnel also distributed clothing to residents and food to children. A warm atmosphere could be seen as the children interacted with the personnel, while residents took the opportunity to engage in direct conversations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several locations included in the patrol were the area around the Star Mountains Regency Government Office, Okmin Papua University, and the Old Oksibil Market. He explained that interaction with the community was also part of carrying out duties in the operational area. Communication established with residents could help personnel better understand local conditions while creating a more open space for dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., said the activity demonstrated that the presence of security personnel among the community could be carried out through various activities that addressed residents’ needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSocial service activities and dialogue-based patrols provide opportunities for personnel to meet and listen directly to the community. We encourage personnel to continue building good communication with residents, community leaders, customary leaders, and religious leaders,\u201d said the Deputy Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that communication with the community was also part of efforts to maintain security and public order in the Star Mountains area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
