Puncak Jaya, Central Papua \u2013 Personnel of the Police Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz 2026 in the Puncak Jaya sector conducted a foot patrol through several locations in Muara District, Puncak Jaya Regency, on Monday (August 31, 2026). During the patrol, personnel not only monitored conditions in the area but also took time to engage directly with residents they encountered along the route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
While passing through residential areas, personnel approached residents who were carrying out their daily activities around their homes. The interactions were informal and friendly, with officers greeting residents, engaging in conversation, and asking about their activities and the conditions of the surrounding environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At one point, a police officer stopped to shake hands and speak with a resident who was sitting beneath trees in front of a house. The conversation took place in a relaxed atmosphere, while several other residents were also present nearby.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The approach was part of the patrol activity, allowing personnel to observe conditions in the community firsthand while creating opportunities for direct communication between police officers and residents in the operational area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026, Inspector General of Police Dr. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H., said patrols in operational areas should be accompanied by direct communication whenever personnel meet members of the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhen conducting patrols, personnel need to observe conditions in the area directly and communicate with the people they encounter. Listen to what residents have to say and continue to maintain a respectful attitude during interactions,\u201d said the Head of Peace Operation Cartenz 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He said the presence of personnel among residents was not solely intended to conduct patrols, but also provided an opportunity to understand local conditions based on information shared directly by the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the interactions, personnel continued their patrol through other areas of Muara District while maintaining attention to the surrounding environment and the activities of residents along the route.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The simple interactions during the patrol reflected the importance of direct communication as part of police activities in the field.
