Saturday (30\/05) around 09.30 WIT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Head of Public Relations of Cartenz-2026 Peace Operation, Chief Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., when asked by reporters, Sunday (31\/05) explained that EK was secured when the personnel of the Cartenz Peace Operation carried out walking patrols in the residential area of Sugapa city residents, Regency. Intan Jaya and currently the entire handling process is still running according to the applicable legal procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;From the results of the initial examination, the officers secured a number of evidence in the form of documents suspected of being related to the group, cash, and two mobile phone units that are currently still in the process of forensic analysis and deepening,&#8221; said Chief Commissioner of Police Yusuf Sutejo<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">He explained, based on the results of the initial investigation, EK is suspected of being involved in a number of security disturbances that have occurred in Intan Jaya Regency. However, all information obtained is still verified and investigated by investigators to ensure its connection with various events that are being handled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;Investigators are currently still conducting an intensive examination and deepening of the person concerned along with the secured evidence. Analysis of communication devices and documents found is an important part of uncovering the group&#8217;s network and the possible involvement of other parties,&#8221; he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Where from the results of the investigation, EK was involved in various security disturbances including the burning of the Airport Barracks and water tank cars in the airport area on October 29, 2021, the burning of the housing of the Intan Jaya Regional Government in 2021, the shooting of Joni Hendra (MD) with the LP\/A\/08\/VII\/2025\/ police report of Intan Jaya Police\/Central Papua Police, on June 25, 2025, the shooting of the tower monitoring post on February 22, 2025 and involved in the shooting of the PK-RVV caravan aircraft around the Bilorai airport area on January 31, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Head of Cartenz Peace Operations 2026, Inspector General of Police. We prioritize a measurable, accountable law enforcement process, and still uphold human rights,&#8221; said Inspector General of Police. Faizal Ramadhani, S.Sos., S.I.K., M.H. emphasized that the authorities will continue to take law enforcement measures against every perpetrator involved in violent acts or security disturbances that threaten public safety.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;This is a very good step by securing the wrong person who is suspected of being active in carrying out terror acts in Intan Jaya Regency,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, Deputy Head of Cartenz 2026 Peace Operation, Chief Commissioner of Police Adarma Sinaga, S.I.K., M.Hum., said that the entire law enforcement process is carried out professionally, transparently, and still upholds human rights and the principle of presumption of innocence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We urge the public to maintain the kamtibmas situation, not easily affected by information that has not been verified, and entrust the entire law enforcement process to the authorities. The police will continue to take law enforcement measures against every party involved in violence or security disturbances that threaten the safety of the public,&#8221; he concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Until now, EK is still undergoing an intensive examination by the investigators of the Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force.
