I urge our brothers and sisters who still resort to violence or weapons to stop attacks that harm ordinary people,&#8221; Awi said in an official statement in Jayapura, Papua, Wednesday (May 27, 2026).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">According to Awi, public facilities are vital assets that support the lives of indigenous Papuans.<br>Infrastructure such as schools, community health centers, and places of worship were built with significant funds to serve the public interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;The destruction of public facilities directly impacts the quality of life and future of Papua&#8217;s younger generation,&#8221; he stressed.<br>The Ondoafi of Nafri Village also warned that the psychological impact of armed conflict is deeply damaging to society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Innocent civilians are often the primary victims of ongoing tensions.<br>&#8220;Public facilities belong to everyone; they are where our children learn and where our citizens seek medical treatment. Don&#8217;t destroy them.
