Wamena \u2013 The Papua Pegunungan Provincial Government continues to strengthen the education sector by focusing on character building from an early age. The initiative aims to create a young generation of Papuans who are disciplined, have integrity, and are able to compete in the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through the Department of Education and Culture, the provincial government has begun developing a character-based school concept for kindergarten children in Wamena, Jayawijaya Regency. The program is part of the regional government\u2019s commitment to improving the quality of human resources starting from basic education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Acting Head of the Papua Pegunungan Education and Culture Office, Simon Sembor, said that character education must be instilled from an early age so that children develop discipline, responsibility, and a strong learning spirit to face the future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCharacter education is an important foundation in shaping a high-quality and competitive young generation in Papua Pegunungan. Therefore, guidance and character building must begin at an early age,\u201d said Simon Sembor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that the character-based education program is also part of the regional government\u2019s efforts to prepare superior human resources capable of supporting the future development of Papua Pegunungan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, the regional government continues to strengthen the role of Early Childhood Education (PAUD) coordinators across the eight regencies to support the optimization of early childhood education comprehensively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
