Nabire – One of the youth figures as well as church leaders in Nabire Regency, Central Papua Yeri Murib, appealed to the public to maintain security and not to be involved in demonstrations that have the potential to cause victims.

In his message that was delivered on Saturday, Yeri reminded residents in the Nabire region, especially East Nabire and West Nabire, not to be easily affected by issues related to the demonstration action plan.

He said that the action is feared to have an impact on the wider community, including residents who are not directly involved.

“Because we heard the issue that will be demo. This demonstration will later refer to the victims, people who do not know anything,” he said.

He also emphasized that involvement in the action has the potential to cause an impact that is not only felt by individuals, but also by families.

“So don’t join the demos. The demonstration will later bring consequences, it will definitely be a victim,” he said.

According to him, if one person becomes a victim, then the whole family will also feel the impact and sadness.

“Not that one person will get sick, but that one person will be a victim, all families will get sick,” he added.

He also invited all the community to work together to maintain the situation to remain safe and conducive in the Nabire area.

The appeal was conveyed as a preventive measure to avoid unwanted things and maintain security stability in the community.
