Jayapura, Papua – The Public Company (Perum) Bulog Regional Office (Kanwil) Papua ensures that the distribution of rice for the Food Supply and Price Stability (SPHP) program will be carried out again after the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijri holiday, with the main focus on remote areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The leader of the Perum Bulog Kanwil Papua Region, Ahmad Mustari, said that the SPHP rice distribution program will reach all areas in Papua, covering 40 districts and two cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“The distribution of SPHP rice will be continued after the Eid holiday, with priority distribution to remote areas,” said Mustari in Jayapura, Tuesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He explained, in the implementation of distribution to the inland areas, Bulog Papua will collaborate with various related agencies to ensure the distribution process runs smoothly, effectively, and on time. Cross-sectoral collaboration is considered to be the key in facing Papua’s complex geographical challenges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Mustari, the distribution of SPHP rice to a number of remote areas had previously experienced obstacles. This is due to the adjustment of the stock policy that is held until December 2025, so that it has an impact on the unoptimal distribution in the period from January to March 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“As a result of the stock that had been withheld, the distribution at the beginning of this year was not optimal. But after Eid, we will accelerate the distribution so that it can reach all regions, especially inland areas,” he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, he emphasized that the distribution of SPHP rice to remote areas not only aims to meet the food needs of the community, but also as a strategic step in maintaining price stability in the market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
With the maintenance of rice stock availability in various regions, especially areas that are difficult to reach, it is hoped that the price of basic necessities will remain stable and the purchasing power of the community can be maintained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
