NABIRE \u2013 A spirit of collaboration and togetherness is at the heart of efforts by the Kamar Dagang dan Industri Indonesia (Kadin) of Central Papua to promote more inclusive economic growth. Through a talk show and networking gathering with business actors scheduled for February 25, 2026, in Nabire, Kadin aims to strengthen synergy in order to drive a fair and community-centered local economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Chairman of Kadin Central Papua, Alexander Gobay, stated that the event marks the beginning of the organization\u2019s 2026 work programs after participating in various national and provincial agendas throughout 2025, including the National Leadership Meeting (Rapimnas) and Provincial Leadership Meeting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to him, Central Papua holds vast potential beyond the mining sector. Industries such as fisheries, plantations, agriculture, tourism, and other productive sectors must be further developed to provide direct benefits to the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe want Central Papua\u2019s economy to grow by involving the people as the main actors. There are many regional potentials that we must manage together for our shared prosperity,\u201d he said in Nabire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event will feature representatives from Kadin Headquarters, permanent committee members, investors, as well as the Provincial Government and a specially formed economic assessment team. This team has conducted data collection and analysis of leading economic potentials across eight regencies in Central Papua as a foundation for regional economic development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The findings of this assessment are planned to be presented to the provincial government as a reference for determining Central Papua\u2019s flagship economic products. This step is expected to open wider investment opportunities while providing a clear direction for sustainable economic development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, Kadin Central Papua is committed to serving as a bridge for business actors, particularly Indigenous Papuan (OAP) entrepreneurs, ensuring they have space and legitimacy to grow their businesses. Collaboration with other business organizations will also be strengthened to accelerate inclusive economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Through this warm and participatory dialogue forum, Kadin hopes to build trust, partnerships, and a spirit of mutual cooperation between business actors and the government.
