The presence of security personnel who prioritize dialogue, empathy, and respect for customary values has become a positive force, fostering optimism among Papua\u2019s younger generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Papuan youth leader Marten Satya said that the approach adopted by the Damai Cartenz Task Force goes beyond maintaining security; it also instills hope and builds trust within the community, particularly among young people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Marten, personnel of the Damai Cartenz Task Force have demonstrated a friendly and down-to-earth face of the Indonesian National Police (Polri). They are present not only as law enforcement officers, but also as brothers and sisters who are willing to listen, understand, and walk hand in hand with the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are witnessing real change. The Damai Cartenz Task Force personnel work with heart. They respect customs, greet the community politely, and truly understand Papua\u2019s diversity,\u201d Marten said in Jayapura on Saturday (7\/2).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He emphasized that Papuan youth need role models, not merely instructions. This humanist approach, he believes, is what fosters a sense of belonging and shared responsibility in safeguarding peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWhen officers are present with a sense of humanity, young people feel respected. From there grows the courage to help protect their homeland\u2014not out of fear, but out of love,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Marten also called on Papuan youth not to be easily provoked by parties seeking to divide unity. He stressed that Papua\u2019s future depends greatly on the active role of young people as agents of peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cPapuan youth must become guardians of peace. Do not be easily incited. Let us nurture the synergy between the police and the community. This is the path toward a safe, dignified, and hopeful Papua,\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
