MERAUKE \u2013 The government continues to demonstrate its commitment to meeting the basic needs of the people of Papua, including through the expansion of clean water access to border regions. The clean water facilities program has now officially reached three locations in Papua Province: Pasir Dua and Imbi in Jayapura City, as well as Mosso Village, which directly borders Papua New Guinea.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This initiative is the result of a collaboration between PT Pertamina Patra Niaga, Solidaritas Perempuan untuk Indonesia (SERUNI) Kabinet Merah Putih, and the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM). This cross-sector collaboration reflects the government\u2019s genuine concern, together with its partners, for improving the quality of life of communities, particularly in areas that have long faced limited access to clean water.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The inauguration of the clean water well construction was carried out by Chairperson of SERUNI KMP Division IV, Sri Suparni Bahlil Lahadalia. In her remarks, she expressed appreciation for the cooperation and collective efforts of all parties in providing clean water facilities for the people of Papua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to her, access to clean water is not merely about infrastructure development, but also about health, dignity, and community well-being. With the availability of these facilities, residents are expected to lead healthier, more dignified, and productive daily lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The expansion of clean water access is seen as a human-centered government initiative, ensuring that no region\u2014 including border areas\u2014 is left behind in fulfilling basic needs.
