Vice President of Corporate Communications and Social Responsibility at Telkomsel, Abdullah Fahmi, stated that the disruption was detected at 11:03 a.m. WIB and affected some customers, including those in Papua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cFrom the moment the disruption was detected, Telkomsel\u2019s technical teams were immediately deployed. We carried out fault isolation, network optimization, and accelerated recovery efforts to ensure services could return to normal as quickly as possible, including in Papua,\u201d Abdullah said in Jayapura on Thursday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He explained that the disruption had impacted access to several digital applications and Over-The-Top (OTT) platforms commonly used by customers for communication, work, and entertainment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe fully understand that digital connectivity has become an essential part of daily life. Therefore, handling this disruption was treated as a top priority,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Following the incident, Telkomsel expressed its sincere apologies to all affected customers for the inconvenience caused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Telkomsel remains committed to maintaining service quality and network reliability to ensure the best digital experience for customers in Papua and across Indonesia,\u201d Abdullah added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
