Jayapura – The Central Papua Provincial Government (Pemprov) donated 200 laptops to students participating in the 2025 Student Cultural Festival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Central Papua Governor Meki Fritz Nawipa, in a press release received in Jayapura on Wednesday, stated that the local government is committed to improving the quality of education, including human resources (HR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Laptops are an asset for students’ futures, so we hope they can use them effectively for their personal development,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Nawipa, a total of 200 laptops have been prepared, and distribution will be carried out in stages. The first phase will focus on students in Nabire, followed by Dieyai, Dogiyai, Paniai, Intan Jaya, Puncak, and Puncak Jaya Regencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We will also continue to provide laptop assistance to high-achieving students,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He explained that his administration continues to build a strong foundation in the education sector because education is the path to change and progress in Central Papua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“A person’s success is determined by themselves; teachers only help encourage them. Success or failure is determined by the individual. Therefore, use this laptop for educational purposes, not entertainment,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He added that he hopes the laptop donation will become a momentum for the revival of technology and education for students in Central Papua and encourage a younger generation ready to compete and advance the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
