Dogiyai \u2014 As the celebration of Christmas 2025 approaches, the atmosphere among the people of Dogiyai Regency has begun to fill with various preparations, worship activities welcoming the Month of Christmas Peace, and family gatherings toward the end of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Amid this momentum, a member of the Dogiyai Regency House of Representatives (DPRK) for the 2025\u20132030 term from the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS), Korneles Kotouki, has called on all members of the community to jointly maintain regional security and public order.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Korneles emphasized that the Month of Christmas Peace is a sacred time for Christians in Dogiyai. Therefore, a safe, comfortable, and conducive situation must be preserved so that the entire community can celebrate Christmas in peace and harmony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe invite all people of Dogiyai, both those living in villages and in urban areas, to jointly safeguard security. As we approach the Month of Christmas Peace, let us avoid conflicts, fights, the consumption of alcoholic beverages, and other actions that may trigger security disturbances,\u201d Korneles said in a press statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He stressed that Christmas is a moment that comes only once a year and serves as a special time for families to gather, pray, and celebrate the peace of Christmas. For this reason, the community is encouraged to prepare themselves, their hearts, and their surroundings as well as possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cLet us celebrate Christmas with pure hearts. Do not tarnish the atmosphere of peace with irresponsible actions. Allow this celebration to bring healing and strengthen brotherhood among us,\u201d he affirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to Korneles, mutual respect and self-restraint are key to creating security within the community. If every citizen is able to control themselves and their families, the potential for conflict can be minimized and public order can be maintained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He also highlighted the importance of the role of all elements of society\u2014ranging from traditional leaders, church leaders, youth figures, women, to neighborhood heads (RT\/RW)\u2014in creating a safe environment. In particular, he reminded the younger generation not to be easily provoked by issues or emotions that could lead to unrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSecurity ahead of Christmas is not only the responsibility of law enforcement or the government, but a shared responsibility of us all. If we remind and respect one another, Dogiyai will remain peaceful through the New Year 2026,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition, he underscored the vital role of families in supervising the activities of family members, especially children and young people, to prevent them from becoming involved in negative behavior ahead of Christmas celebrations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Amid the diversity of ethnic groups, cultures, and religions in Dogiyai Regency, Korneles views Christmas as a momentum to strengthen brotherhood and harmony among residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe momentum of Christmas must be used to strengthen relations among ethnic groups, religions, and regions. Let us leave behind differences that divide us and welcome the New Year with a spirit of unity and mutual respect,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Closing his appeal, Korneles expressed hope that Christmas 2025 would bring positive change to the people of Dogiyai. He reaffirmed his commitment, together with PKS, to continue advocating for the aspirations of the people in the Dogiyai DPRK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
