Jakarta \u2013 Minister of Agrarian and Spatial Planning\/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR\/BPN), Nusron Wahid, announced that the signing of the Substantive Approval of the Regional Spatial Planning (RTRW) for South Papua Province will be carried out shortly. He stated that within the next one to two days, the document is expected to be officially signed as part of the efforts to accelerate development in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cToday, we conducted a cross-sectoral meeting to discuss the concept of the South Papua RTRW approval. God willing, in 1-2 days, we will sign the substantive approval of the South Papua RTRW,\u201d Nusron said after attending the Limited Coordinating Meeting at the Ministry of Coordinating Economic Affairs, Jakarta, Wednesday (01\/10\/2025).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This substantive approval is a crucial initial step in ensuring legal compliance and orderly law in the formulation of the RTRW. Because, every district or provincial RTRW across Indonesia must obtain approval from the Minister of ATR\/Head of BPN. Nusron emphasized that this approval results from sectoral synchronization and a shared understanding among all stakeholders involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Legal basis for accelerating the formulation of the RTRW is based on Presidential Instruction (Inpres) Number 14, which has been revised to Inpres Number 16 of 2025, and Presidential Decree (Kepres) Number 19 of 2025. \u201cThis Inpres was issued by the President to the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs to accelerate the development of self-sufficiency in food, water, and energy across the country, including South Papua,\u201d explained Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Zulkifli Hasan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
