This is a clear directive for officers on the ground,\u201d he told reporters in Sentani on Monday night (September 29, 2025).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the pursuit effort, Jayapura Police\u2019s Opsnal Team has joined forces with personnel from Sentani Timur Police Sector and other units. Additional deployments are being made to narrow the perpetrators\u2019 movements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe continue to receive information from the public, both through social media and WhatsApp groups, regarding suspicious activities linked to mugging. This information greatly supports our work,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furthermore, the Police Chief confirmed that patrol activities are being intensified, particularly during late-night and early-morning hours. Patrol routes cover areas from the city boundary up to downtown Sentani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe hope the presence of police in the field can provide a sense of security while preventing perpetrators from acting.
