Member of Commission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR RI), retired Major General TNI TB Hasanuddin, has urged the TNI-Polri security forces to immediately follow up on the shooting incident that killed five civilians in Seradala District, Yahukimo Regency, Highland Papua. He emphasized that the perpetrators, allegedly members of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB), must be arrested and brought to justice without exception.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThe state must not bow down to acts of violence carried out by armed groups. I fully support the government\u2019s efforts to maintain security stability in Papua,\u201d Hasanuddin said in his press statement on Thursday (September 25, 2025).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to reports from Tribun Papua Barat, the deadly incident occurred from Sunday night (September 20, 2025) until Monday morning (September 21, 2025), leaving five people dead. As a preventive measure, security forces have tightened patrols in Yahukimo Regency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Head of Operation Peace Cartenz, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, confirmed the casualties caused by the KKB. He stated that the case is currently under thorough investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe are conducting an in-depth investigation into the attack by the KKB led by Elkius Kobak, which resulted in the deaths of five civilians,\u201d Faizal said on Wednesday (September 24, 2025), as quoted from Tribunnews.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
