The event took place at the Wania District Office, SP 4, marking the first step toward creating a cleaner, healthier, and more livable Mimika.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In his remarks, Regent Johannes Rettob expressed his high appreciation for the initiative, emphasizing that major changes begin with small, consistent actions. \u201cStart from your homes, neighborhood units, villages, and urban wards. When the community becomes accustomed to maintaining cleanliness, malaria can be reduced, floods can be prevented, and the overall quality of life will improve,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Regent also instructed all neighborhood heads, urban wards, villages, and schools to mobilize their communities to carry out cleaning activities every Friday starting at 08.00 WIT. He firmly warned that neighborhood heads who fail to encourage community participation would be subject to replacement. \u201cStarting next Friday, everyone must take part. Schools, neighborhood units, villages \u2014 all must be involved. If I see some communities not taking part, be prepared for changes,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, Head of Wania District, Merlyn Temorubun, explained that the Clean Friday program was designed as a cross-sectoral collaborative movement. It involves Wania Health Center, malaria cadres, Mimika Baru Police Sector, Military Command 1710-02\/City, and various other stakeholders.
