The case was formally registered with the Constitutional Court under <strong>Electronic Case Filing Number 22\/PAN.MK\/e-AP3\/08\/2025<\/strong> on <strong>Wednesday, August 28, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">KPU Papua Chair <strong>Diana Simbiak<\/strong> said her office is coordinating with eight district and one city election committee to compile timelines and gather supporting evidence. \u201cWe are coordinating with our regional offices to prepare the chronology and collect materials so we will be ready for the Constitutional Court hearings,\u201d she told reporters at the KPU Papua office in Jayapura on <strong>Monday, August 25, 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Simbiak emphasized that KPU Papua would follow all legal mechanisms and respect regulations. She noted that the BTM\u2013CK pair has been given three days to revise and complete their petition. \u201cWe will wait and respond in accordance with the law,\u201d she said, adding that KPU Papua respects the judicial process and any final ruling issued by the Constitutional Court.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">She also urged supporters of both candidate pairs to remain calm and avoid provocation while awaiting the Court\u2019s decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Meanwhile, lawyer <strong>Anthon Raharusun<\/strong> confirmed that the case has been formally recorded in the Court\u2019s electronic filing system and will proceed under Constitutional Court Regulation No. 3\/2024 concerning procedures for electoral disputes in gubernatorial, regent, and mayoral elections.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jayapura, Papua \u2013 The Papua Provincial General Elections Commission (KPU Papua) is preparing evidence and documentation for the Constitutional Court (MK) as it faces a legal challenge to the results of the repeat gubernatorial election (PSU) held on 6 August 2025.
