The peace we build together will directly impact security and public order in Papua Province,\u201d he said on Tuesday (August 19, 2025).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Police Chief also reminded the public not to be provoked by irresponsible parties spreading disinformation and hoaxes through social media. According to him, false news has the potential to divide communities and disrupt stability in Papua.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Inspector General Renwarin added that the police, in coordination with the Indonesian military (TNI), are strengthening patrols and security measures in vulnerable areas to ensure a safe and peaceful democratic process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cI call on all elements of Papuan society to work together in safeguarding security and public order. We must not allow political differences to divide us. Papua needs peace for better development,\u201d he stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As of now, the situation across several regions in Papua remains relatively safe and under control after the re-vote.
