According to Jokowi, Papua holds a vital role in the future of Indonesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOh, that\u2019s very good (for the Vice President to be assigned in Papua). Any region within the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia is important. Papua is the future of Indonesia,\u201d said Jokowi in Sumber, Banjarsari, Solo, on Monday (July 14, 2025), as quoted by detikJateng.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jokowi acknowledged that Papua still faces numerous challenges, including in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and security. The former Mayor of Solo and Governor of Jakarta pointed out that similar issues exist across all provinces, though the severity varies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThere are problems in every province. In the land of Papua, which I love, there are still many problems\u2014whether in education, healthcare, infrastructure, or security,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Regarding Gibran&#8217;s potential in addressing these issues, Jokowi left it to the public to assess.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWell, we\u2019ll see.
