Mimika, Central Papua – Responding to the violent incident that again stained the land of Papua, a young figure and the Secretary of the Communication Forum of the Student Council (FKDM) of Mimika Regency, Arnold Ronsumbre, raised his voice. In his official statement, Arnold gave his full appreciation to the security forces, especially the Task Force Operation Peace Cartenz, who managed to evacuate and identify the victims of the cruelty that occurred in the gold collection area of Yahukimo Regency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Arnold expressed his gratitude for the quick and agile response of the TNI-Polri in dealing with the humanitarian crisis condition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“I represent the people of Mimika and all peace-loving elements, thank the TNI-Polri, especially Operation Peace Cartenz, for the successful evacuation of the victims. This is a real proof of the country’s presence, and we really appreciate it,” said Arnold, Saturday (19\/4).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, Arnold emphasized that the violent acts carried out by armed criminal groups (KKB) are human rights violations that must be stopped. According to him, this kind of incident not only hurt the victim’s family, but also damaged the image of Papua as a peaceful land.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We fully support the legal action against anyone involved in this sabaric act. We cannot continue to allow violence to be a part of Papua’s face. This is the land of blessing, not the land of blood,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a public figure and the head of the paguyuban, Arnold also gave moral appeals that were sourced from religious teachings. He reminded that every life is God’s creation, and no one has the right to take it away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“In the Gospel of God it is clearly forbidden to kill. So all of us, especially our brothers and sisters who still choose the path of violence, must stop. Every blood that is spilled will be held accountable, not only in this world, but also in the hereafter,” he said with an emphatic voice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Arnold also emphasized the importance of the community’s role in maintaining a peaceful atmosphere, especially in the Mimika region which he called a barometer of Papuan peace. He invited all elements of society to join hands, build a harmonious atmosphere and respect each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“If Mimika is safe, then Papua will be calm. Let’s take care of unity, not actually enlarge the gap of division,” he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the end of his statement, Arnold Ronsumbre emphasized that the wounds caused by conflict should not be passed on to the younger generation. He invited all parties to maintain the good name of the nation and homeland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“Don’t let this land continue to be smeared with blood. Do not let the world judge Indonesia as a country that failed to guarantee peace. Let’s take care of Papua, maintain peace, and build a better future for our children and grandchildren,” he concluded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
