YAHUKIMO \u2013 The joint effort to rescue victims of an attack by an Armed Criminal Group (KKB) in Yahukimo has showcased the strength of social solidarity and a deep commitment to humanitarian values. Over nine days, from April 9 to April 17, 2025, the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force, together with the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), medical personnel, and local government officials, worked hand-in-hand to evacuate 25 victims\u201416 of whom were found deceased, while 9 survived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yahukimo Regent Didimus Yahuli, S.H., M.H., stated that the success of the operation was a result of both collaborative efforts and collective prayer. \u201cEverything was able to proceed as it should because of the goodness of God towards all of us,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Amid grief, the spirit of unity and cooperation became a beacon of hope. All elements of the community, from the medical team at Yahukimo Regional Hospital to security forces, demonstrated that teamwork is the key to responding to humanitarian crises.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Head of Public Relations for the Cartenz Peace Operation Task Force, Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, also emphasized the importance of cross-sector synergy. \u201cWe deeply appreciate all parties who contributed to this operation,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
