Gen. Rizal, initial information about the incident was obtained from one of the survivors. However, he could not yet confirm the number of fatalities as the joint security forces were still en route to the scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cYes, it\u2019s true (an attack occurred), but the number of casualties has not been confirmed. The team is still on the way to the location, and our preliminary information comes from a surviving witness,\u201d he told reporters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Earlier, reports circulating on social media claimed that 11 illegal gold miners, all believed to be migrants, were found dead in the forest.
