Wamena, March 3, 2025 – In order to strengthen the bond of friendship between the apparatus and the public, a member of the Damai Cartenz-2025 Ops Policewoman, Ipda Amelia Mega Kartika Kawilarang, S.Psi., held a visit to Jibama Market, Wamena. This activity that takes place before iftar time presents a nuance of warmth and togetherness, where the officers not only act as security guards, but also as part of the community.

In a relaxed atmosphere, Ipda Amelia took the time to talk and laugh with Papuan mothers who were busy trading. He also shopped for fresh fruits and vegetables, as a form of real support for the local economy. This activity shows that the presence of officers can bring a positive impact beyond security duties, by helping to move the economic wheel of the local community.

Police Commissioner. Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., Head of Public Relations Ops Damai Cartenz-2025, emphasized that this humanist approach is a strategic step to build trust and a sense of security among residents. “We want the public to feel our presence as a partner, not just as a guardian of order,” he said.

With this initiative, it is hoped that the spirit of teamwork and support for local businesses will be more rooted, as well as creating a harmonious and conducive Wamena environment.
