Wamena, Indonesia \u2013 The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) of Jayawijaya Regency in the Papua Highlands has urged the local Muslim community to maintain unity and brotherhood during the upcoming Holy Month of Ramadan. This message was delivered by Ustaz Adnan Yelipele, Chairman of MUI Jayawijaya, in Wamena on Thursday (27\/2). He stated that the first day of Ramadan 1446 Hijri is expected to fall on Saturday, March 1, 2025.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cAs the leader of MUI Jayawijaya, I call on all Muslims, especially those in our region, to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and maintain good relations with one another,\u201d said Ustaz Adnan. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining good health to ensure that the fasting obligations during Ramadan can be carried out effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHealth is a crucial factor. With a healthy body, Muslims in Jayawijaya can perform the full month of fasting smoothly,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ustaz Adnan reminded the community that fasting during Ramadan holds immense spiritual significance, with Allah SWT promising abundant rewards and forgiveness for those who observe it with sincere faith. \u201cWe wish everyone a blessed Ramadan. May our worship be accepted and rewarded generously by Allah SWT,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
