YAHUKIMO- As a gesture of care and empathy toward the victim\u2019s family, the Yahukimo Police conducted a compassionate visit to the family of the late La Jahari, a victim of an assault allegedly carried out by an armed criminal group (KKB).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The visit took place on Friday, January 31, at around 16:30 WIT, led by the Deputy Chief of Yahukimo Police, AKBP Abd. Kadir, accompanied by Head of Unit 1 SPKT Ipda Hariyadi, and several other police officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During the visit at the mourning house in the Social Street Complex, Dekai, the police handed over financial assistance as a token of sympathy to the victim’s family. The late La Jahari\u2019s wife, Mrs. Ratna, received the assistance with deep emotion. Additionally, the Yahukimo Police expressed their condolences and provided updates regarding the ongoing investigation into La Jahari\u2019s case.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe express our deepest condolences for what has happened to the late La Jahari. The police are committed to thoroughly investigating this case and bringing the perpetrators to justice,\u201d stated Yahukimo Police Deputy Chief, AKBP Abd. Kadir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Separately, the Head of Public Relations for Ops Damai Cartenz 2025, Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo, S.I.K., M.T., emphasized that the police would continue to enhance security measures in the Yahukimo region to prevent similar incidents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe will not remain silent in the face of violent acts committed by armed criminal groups. Law enforcement measures will continue to be taken to ensure the safety of the people of Yahukimo,\u201d asserted Police Commissioner Yusuf Sutejo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After approximately 40 minutes, the visit concluded in a safe and controlled manner, and the police delegation returned to the Yahukimo Police Headquarters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This visit is part of a humanistic approach taken by the police to maintain security and order in Papua, particularly in Yahukimo.
