Jayapura – Willem Frans Ansanay, Leader of the Red and White Front of the Republic of Indonesia (BMPRI) in Papua appealed to all Papuan people to maintain a peaceful atmosphere and not respond to issues regarding December 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The chairman of the Papua Deliberative Body (Bamus) also assured the public that the election of regional heads in the parent province (Papua) was the start of a better change.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We are grateful that with the New Autonomous Region, Papua province, which today is the parent province, has been free from demonstration movements, anti-NKRI movements, movements that want to provide space for the struggle for an Independent Papua,” said Ansanay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ansanay is optimistic that the results of the 2024 regional elections will produce leaders who will develop Papuan society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“We do not elect leaders who are still building diplomacy with parties who want to liberate Digi from the Republic
Indonesia,” he stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
