Jayapura\u2014<\/strong> The Joint TNI-Polri Team from the Cartenz-2024 Peace Operations Task Force succeeded in arresting Rife Kerebea, alias Erik, alias Trisna Telenggen, a person on the Wanted List (DPO) from the Nduga Armed Criminal Group (KKB), on Saturday, August 17 2024 , in Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This arrest adds to the long list of successes of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Operation in securing the Papua region from threats from Armed Criminal Groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Surprisingly, Rife Kerebea apparently served as the Village Consultative Body (Bamuskam) in Sagapu I Village, Krepkuri District, Nduga Regency, Papua Mountains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Despite his status as a village official, Rife Kerebea is known to have joined the Nduga KKB led by Egianus Kogoya, and was involved in various criminal acts in Yahukimo and Nduga Regencies. These actions included murder, theft of firearms, and shooting down planes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rife Kerebea’s arrest was made based on a police report LP\/B\/47\/X\/2023\/SPKT\/POLRES YAHUKIMO\/POLDA PAPUA on October 16 2023 regarding the murder of gold panners in Kali EI, Seradala District, Yahukimo Regency. Apart from that, he is also listed on the Wanted List (DPO) with number DPO\/30\/XI\/2023\/Reskrim, dated 08 November 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Head of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Public Relations Task Force, Police Commissioner. Dr. Bayu Suseno confirmed the arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“This arrest is the result of the hard work of the Joint TNI-Polri Team which succeeded in tracking down Rife Kerebea’s whereabouts in Nduga Regency,” said Police Commissioner. Dr. Bayu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rife Kerebea was involved in various criminal acts that disturbed the community. Some of them are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Murder of gold panners in EI River, Seradala District, Yahukimo Regency, on October 16 2023.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Theft of firearms from Brimob members in Napua District, Jayawijaya Regency, on June 18 2022, where he acted as a liaison between the perpetrator and KKB Egianus Kogoya.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. A series of murders in Nogolait Village, Nduga Regency, on July 16 2022.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Airplane shooting at Kali Brasa, Yahukimo Regency, on 16 and 17 February 2024.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    Apart from that, Rife Kerebea also has an important role in the KKB Kodap III Ndugama led by Egianus Kogoya. He is known to have joined the KKB led by Egianus Kogoya and was tasked with monitoring the movements of TNI-Polri officers, as well as assisting with logistics distribution to the KKB headquarters and KKB monitoring posts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    This arrest marks firm action against people who commit treason against the state, considering Rife Kerebea’s status as Bamuskam who should be a role model for society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
