{"id":20873,"date":"2024-07-18T19:11:16","date_gmt":"2024-07-18T10:11:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.suaranewspapua.com\/?p=20873"},"modified":"2024-07-18T19:11:17","modified_gmt":"2024-07-18T10:11:17","slug":"yapen-islands-police-investigate-treason-scene","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/suaranewspapua.com\/index.php\/2024\/07\/18\/yapen-islands-police-investigate-treason-scene\/","title":{"rendered":"Yapen Islands Police Investigate Treason Scene"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Jayapura \u2013<\/strong> The Yapen Islands Resort Police are currently handling a case of threats and treason allegedly committed by an Armed Criminal Group (KKB) on Trans Yapen Road, Korombi Village, East Yapen District, Yapen Islands Regency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Yapen Islands Police Chief, Commissioner Ardyan Ukie Hercahyo, S.I.K, M.I.K, confirmed the crime scene investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Chief of Police explained that the investigation originated from reports by several witnesses at a road construction worker camp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOne witness reported that the treason incident occurred on Tuesday (16\/07) around 06:00 WIT. He saw a blockade set up at the stone chipping storage site and observed two individuals facing the cliff, along with two different-sized flags and a piece of fabric already planted on top of the stone chippings,\u201d stated the Chief of Police on Wednesday (17\/07\/2024).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The witness immediately reported the incident to the East Yapen Islands Police Station.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cUpon arriving at the scene, the Yapen Islands Police conducted a crime scene investigation and found evidence, including a piece of fabric with a Morning Star flag design measuring 83&#215;38 cm tied to a wooden stick approximately 169 cm in length, and a piece of sleeping mat with threatening writings,\u201d he revealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furthermore, Commissioner Ardyan stated that the Yapen Islands Police are currently investigating the case to identify the perpetrators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cCurrently, the Yapen Islands Police Criminal Investigation Unit is investigating the case, and the evidence has been secured at the Yapen Islands Police Headquarters,\u201d he concluded.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jayapura \u2013 The Yapen Islands Resort Police are currently handling a case of threats and treason allegedly committed by an Armed Criminal Group (KKB) on Trans Yapen Road, Korombi Village, East Yapen District, Yapen Islands Regency.
