{"id":20294,"date":"2024-06-27T22:10:15","date_gmt":"2024-06-27T13:10:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.suaranewspapua.com\/?p=20294"},"modified":"2024-06-27T22:10:16","modified_gmt":"2024-06-27T13:10:16","slug":"secretary-general-of-bmp-ri-papua-invites-the-community-to-unite-to-maintain-security-in-papua-and-emphasize-everyones-human-rights","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/suaranewspapua.com\/index.php\/2024\/06\/27\/secretary-general-of-bmp-ri-papua-invites-the-community-to-unite-to-maintain-security-in-papua-and-emphasize-everyones-human-rights\/","title":{"rendered":"Secretary General of BMP-RI-Papua Invites the Community to Unite to Maintain Security in Papua and Emphasize Everyone&#8217;s Human Rights"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Jayapura-<\/strong> Secretary General of the Red and White Front of the Republic of Indonesia (BMP-RI-Papua), Ali Kabiay, invited all Papuan people to unite and join hands to help the TNI-Polri apparatus in maintaining the security and integrity of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This statement was conveyed by Ali Kabiay when met at the Nationality House, Jayapura City, on Wednesday, June 26 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ali Kabiay, as a young figure from Papua and Indonesia&#8217;s young generation, emphasized that his party always supports government policies that have a direct impact on society, especially those that are positive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;We hope that all Papuan people will support the security forces in creating conducive, safe and peaceful conditions in the Papua region so that people can carry out their activities safely and peacefully. &#8220;Children can go to school, mothers can shop at the market safely and peacefully,&#8221; said Ali Kabiay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ali emphasized that security issues in Papua are not only the task of the TNI-Polri apparatus, but are the responsibility of all Indonesian citizens in Papua. He gave the example that a safe area will encourage increased economic investment, purchasing power, education and culture. On the other hand, areas that are not safe will experience a decline in investment, purchasing power, community activity, and slow circulation of money so that the region&#8217;s economy will not progress.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ali Kabiay believes that the Polri-TNI have standards in determining and protecting human rights in Papua. According to him, all humans, including TNI-Polri officers, have human rights that must be respected and supported by society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;What we often see is that incidents that happen to the TNI-Polri and civil society are often ignored by human rights activists. In fact, the TNI-Polri are also human beings with hearts. So, whatever happens to them, we also have to talk about human rights. &#8220;Human rights are something universal and global that belong to all humans who have ever been born on this earth,&#8221; explained Ali Kabiay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ali added that the most important thing is to maintain the integrity of the Republic of Indonesia and assist the security forces to maintain the security stability of the Papua region.
