Timika- Firefights occurred again between the Cartenz 2023 Peace Operations Task Force and the IntanJaya KKB in the Titigi District, Intanjaya Regency on Wednesday (22\/11\/2023).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This firefight resulted in one personnel from the Cartenz Peace Ops Task Force being killed and another personnel suffering from a gunshot wound.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Head of the Cartenz 2023 Peace Operation Public Relations Task Force AKBP Dr. Bayu Suseno, S.H, S.I.K, M.M, MH confirmed the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“It’s true, this morning (22\/11\/2023) it happened. There was a gunfight in the Titigi District, Intanjaya Regency. One of our members was shot and killed and one gunshot wound to the leg,” said Bayu Suseno.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bayu further explained the chronology of the firefight with KKB<\/p>\n\n\n\n
“At 08.20 WIT, a joint team from the Intanjaya Police and the Cartenz Peace Task Force to investigate the crime scene carried out a shift from the Intanjaya Police Headquarters to the crime scene location in the Titigi district, Intanjaya Regency. Upon arrival at the crime scene, the team carried out crime scene activities and provided security. At 12.28 “WIT, the team received gunfire from KKB Intanjaya which resulted in a gunfight. In this firefight there were fatalities and injuries from the security forces.” Bayu explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently the bodies and victims of gunshot wounds have been evacuated to Timika Regional Hospital.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Bayu said that the Cartenz Peace Operations Task Force is currently pursuing the perpetrators of the IntanJaya KKB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
