Wamena – The 1702/Jayawijaya Military District Command (Kodim) and the Jayawijaya Resort Police (Polres) ensured the safe and smooth visit of two deputy ministers to Wamena.

The 1702/Jayawijaya Military District Command (Kodim) assisted local police in maintaining public order and security during the visit of Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Ribka Haluk and Deputy Minister of Public Works Diana Kusumastuti to Wamena, Jayawijaya Regency, Papua Mountains, to the construction site of the Papua Mountains’ core government center (KIPP).

The Commander of the 1702/Jayawijaya Military District Command (Dandim), Lieutenant Colonel Ilham Datu Ramang, stated in a statement in Wamena on Saturday that his unit is primarily assisting the police in maintaining security in Papua Mountains, particularly in Jayawijaya Regency.

“The 1702/Jayawijaya Military District Command (Kodim), along with relevant authorities, is monitoring and providing security to ensure the safe and smooth running of all activities of the working visit by the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs and the Deputy Minister of Public Works,” he said.

According to him, this collaboration represents a form of synergy built between security forces and the local government to create peace and comfort for the people of this region.

“The 1702/Jayawijaya Military District Command (Kodim), along with elements of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI), the Indonesian National Police (Polri), and the local government, are working together to support the smooth running of this working visit, ensuring that all agenda items can be carried out safely, orderly, and conducively,” he said.

He explained that the overall series of activities of the working visit in Jayawijaya Regency proceeded safely, orderly, and smoothly.

“The working visit to Wamena, Jayawijaya Regency, by the two deputy ministers, proceeded safely and smoothly thanks to the support of all parties, including the community,” he said.

He emphasized that the synergy between the TNI, Polri, and the local government will continue to be fostered in the Papua Highlands region, especially in Jayawijaya Regency, the provincial capital.

The locations visited by the Deputy Minister of Home Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, Ribka Haluk, and the Deputy Minister of Public Works of the Republic of Indonesia, Diana Kusumastuti, included the Papua Mountains KIPP in Gunung Susu, the construction of the Hall Building of the Tom Bozeman Sinagma Wamena Christian Theological High School (SMTK) and the renovation project of the Ar Rahman MIS in the Baiturrahman Grand Mosque area of ​​Wamena.
