Mimika- Community figure of the Kamoro tribe, Mimika Regency, Central Papua Province, Marianus Maknaipeku asked the community to maintain security and social order during the plenary meeting for the 2024 regional elections.
As a community leader of the Kamoro Tribe, he told all Mimika residents not to be provoked by negative issues of the Mimika Regional Election.
“I appeal to the public, especially each candidate pair’s supporters, not to be provoked by false issues,” he said.
He continued to say, currently we have a task with the TNI-Polri security forces to maintain security in Mimika Regency during the 2024 regional elections.
He said that this process was left to the Pilkada organizers because whoever becomes Regent will later belong to all the people of Mimika.
“Let’s join hands for a peaceful and prosperous Mimika and there should be no conflict, especially as we are entering the Christmas celebrations so we need to maintain peace,” he concluded.
