Wamena_ On Saturday, November 23 2024, in the Honai Lama Dua area and around Wamena City, female police (Polwan) of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Operation Public Relations Task Force held humanist activities involving local children. They greet, chat and share snacks as a form of approach to the community.
This activity was led by the Head of the Jayawijaya Police Binmas Unit, Inspector Benyamin Tandipayung, involving Brigadier Ita Sombo Allo from the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Public Relations Task Force and Bripda Yulce Gombo, a member of the Jayawijaya Police Public Relations Unit.
Brigadier Ita explained that this activity aims to strengthen relations between the police and the community, especially children, to create a sense of security and comfort in the community.
“It is hoped that this form of concern can make the police friends of children and the community, so that security and comfort in an area can be created automatically,” said Brigadier Ita.
This activity received a warm welcome from Wamena children who looked enthusiastic about interacting with the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Policewomen.
In a separate place, Head of the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Public Relations Task Force, Kombespol Dr. Bayu Suseno, said that peace in Papua requires active community involvement in maintaining security. He hopes that this activity will be a step towards creating a peaceful and harmonious Papua.
