Timika, November 21, 2024 – Ahead of the democracy party on November 27, 2024, Community Leader and Chairman of the FKDM (Chairman of the Community Early Awareness Forum) of Mimika Regency, Central Papua, Lucky Mahakena urged the public not to be provoked by irresponsible individuals to thwart the elections.
“In the momentum of the regional elections, there is a date of November 27, 2024 which will be held, and we convey that we must keep Mimika safe and peaceful,” he said.
This appeal is the attention of community leaders so that unwanted things do not happen so that this democratic party continues to run smoothly, safely and peacefully.
Lucky Mahakena also expressed his highest appreciation to the Cartenz Peace Task Force in participating in maintaining kamtibmas in Papua, and also Mimika Regency community leaders expressed their gratitude to the Cartenz Peace Ops Task Force in supporting Papua to be more advanced and prosperous.
“In particular, we express our appreciation to the Cartenz Peace Task Force in its participation in supporting the escalation of kamtibmas, especially in Mimika Regency and Papua Province and also supporting Papua to be more advanced and prosperous, Realizing a positive achievement in supporting a sense of security, peace and solemnity to anticipate the KKB group that takes action or provokes ahead of this election, ” he said.
In addition, Lucky Mahakena also said that on December 1, the momentum ahead of Christmas as well as the KKB and KKP Poks as West Papua’s Anniversary so that the community would not be provoked by the December 1 issue.
“December 1 is a momentum ahead of Christmas until the new year, let’s maintain tolerance, respect, and appreciation for the people who carry out worship, and how we create the integrity of the Indonesian nation to be orderly, safe, and peaceful to uphold the Republic of Indonesia more advanced in the future,” he said.
On the other hand, the Head of the Public Relations Task Force of Ops Damai Cartenz 2024, Kombespol Dr. Bayu Suseno, S.H., S.I.K., M.M., M.H. gave a statement that the Ops Damai Cartenz Task Force had deployed its personnel to monitor and carry out security in areas disturbed by armed criminal groups.
“We have deployed personnel to areas prone to disturbances of armed criminal groups or KKB to maintain kamtibmas in the area during the elections, the assistance team from the Cartenz-2024 Peace Ops Task Force has carried out assistance in areas prone to KKB disturbances. We hope that the implementation of Pemilukada will take place well and safely,” concluded Kombespol Bayu.
